This page puts every pitch side by side. For what the number means, read pixel pitch, explained; to pick one for your own room, how to choose pixel pitch. Prices for every pitch are on LED wall price by pixel pitch and the LED wall price guide.
A simple rule: the closest viewer's distance in metres is roughly the pitch in millimetres. P1.2 to P1.8 suits boardrooms, studios and control rooms seen from 1–3 m; P2.0 and P2.5 suit showrooms, lobbies, shops, halls and stages seen from 2 m and beyond, and P2.5 is the most popular indoor choice; outdoor P3 to P10 suits shop fronts, facades and hoardings read from further away.
Pixel pitch is the distance in millimetres between the centres of two LED pixels. A smaller pitch packs more pixels into the same area, so the picture stays sharp from closer, but it costs more per square foot.
No. A finer pitch than your viewing distance needs adds cost without a visible gain. Match the pitch to where people actually stand; PixelSpot's free site visit in Bengaluru confirms the distance before you buy.
Shop fronts and building facades seen from 5–12 m usually use P4 outdoor (IP65 at the front, IP54 at the rear, up to 4,500 nits with auto-dimming after dark); larger boards seen from further use P6 to P10. Road-facing advertising screens in Bengaluru may show still images that change every 10 seconds or more, not video, under the 2025 advertisement rules.
