LED poster displays. Slim, sharp, made for close-up.
An LED poster is a tall, slim, free-standing LED screen that replaces a printed poster or a flex standee. PixelSpot builds them in 2×4, 2×5 and 3×5 ft at fine indoor pitches of P1.5, P1.8 and P2.5, at our own factory in Jalahalli, Bengaluru, and delivers them across India. You change the artwork from your phone, not the printer.
What an LED poster display is.
An LED poster display is a portrait-format LED panel in a thin frame, usually on its own base, so it stands on the floor without a wall, a bracket or civil work. It plays video, still images and playlists.
Unlike an LCD poster, there is no single glass panel inside. The picture is made of thousands of tiny LEDs mounted on modules, the same technology as a large LED video wall, packed tightly enough to look sharp from a step or two away. That is what "fine pitch" means, and it is the whole point of a poster: people walk right up to it.
You will also hear it called a digital poster display, an LED poster screen or an LED standee. On this site the same product sits under our digital standee range. This page covers the slim poster format in depth.
LED poster vs LCD poster vs LED wall.
Three products often get mixed up in quotes. Here is how they differ in practice.
| LED poster display | LCD poster / standee | LED video wall | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Portrait LED panel in a slim floor-standing frame | A single LCD screen in a floor-standing frame | Many LED cabinets joined into one large surface on a wall or structure |
| Sizes | 2×4, 2×5, 3×5 ft (PixelSpot Studio series) | Fixed screen sizes, e.g. 32, 43 and 55 inch in our LCD standee range | Any size, built up cabinet by cabinet |
| Brightness | Up to 600 nits indoor, dimmable | TV-like; fine indoors, struggles in a sunny window | Up to 600 nits indoor, up to 4,500 nits outdoor |
| Picture | No bezel, deep blacks, even colour edge to edge | Glass front, visible frame around the picture | Seamless at any size |
| Best viewing distance | About 1.5–2.5 m and beyond, by pitch | Very close, like a phone or TV | Set by pitch; usually across a room or a road |
| If something fails | Swap one LED module on site | Usually the whole panel is replaced | Swap one module on site |
| Installation | None: unpack, place, plug in | None: unpack, place, plug in | Structure, power and calibration by a crew |
| Choose it when | You want a moving poster that looks premium up close and you may move it around | You need touch, small text read at arm's length, or the smallest footprint | You want one big image a whole room or street can see |

Why fine pitch matters on a poster.
Pixel pitch is the distance between the centres of two neighbouring LEDs, in millimetres. P1.8 means 1.8 mm. The smaller the number, the more pixels in the same space, and the closer someone can stand before the image breaks into dots.
A poster stands in an aisle, beside a counter or at a door, and people pass within a metre or two. That is why our posters are built only in indoor fine pitch: P1.5, P1.8 and P2.5. A useful rule of thumb is about 1 metre of comfortable viewing distance for every 1 mm of pitch.
| Pitch | Pixels per square metre | Comfortable from about | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1.5 | about 444,000 | 1.5 m | Jewellery, cosmetics and luxury counters; small text and faces seen up close |
| P1.8 | about 309,000 | 1.8 m | Showroom floors, hotel receptions, corporate lobbies; the all-rounder |
| P2.5 | 160,000 | 2.5 m | Mall atriums, event foyers, wide corridors where people see it from further away |
P1.8 carries almost twice the pixels of P2.5 in the same area; P1.5 carries nearly three times as many. Try your own numbers in the viewing distance calculator or read the pixel pitch guide.
What the pitch means for your artwork
A poster has far fewer pixels than its size suggests, because the size is in feet and the pixels are millimetres apart. The table below divides each nominal size by the pitch. Design to the exact figure on your spec sheet, in portrait.
| Poster size | P1.5 | P1.8 | P2.5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2×4 ft (about 610 × 1,220 mm) | about 406 × 813 px | about 339 × 677 px | about 244 × 488 px |
| 2×5 ft (about 610 × 1,525 mm) | about 406 × 1,016 px | about 339 × 847 px | about 244 × 610 px |
| 3×5 ft (about 915 × 1,525 mm) | about 610 × 1,016 px | about 508 × 847 px | about 366 × 610 px |
Width × height, approximate: nominal size divided by pitch. The exact pixel count depends on the module and cabinet layout and is printed on the spec sheet we send with your estimate.

For a shopfront or pavement: outdoor posters
An indoor poster is not made for direct sun or rain. For an entrance, a forecourt or a window that faces a bright street, the Titan series is the outdoor version of the same format: IP65 at the front, IP54 at the rear, and up to 4,500 nits, with auto-dimming after dark. Outdoor pitches are coarser, because people read a shopfront from further away.

Several posters, one message.
Posters work well in sets: a pair either side of a door, a row down a mall corridor, three across a stage. The 3×5 Studio is listed with multi-screen cascading, which links several units so they play together. With PxlOS, every poster in a set can run the same campaign or its own playlist, scheduled from one account.
What a set of posters is not: a seamless wall. Each poster keeps its own frame. If you want one unbroken image several metres wide, build a fixed LED video wall instead.
Content and control.
Every Studio poster comes with integrated PxlOS, PixelSpot's own content software. Upload a video or image, build a playlist, schedule morning and evening campaigns, and run every screen from your phone or browser. Open PxlOS ›
The posters connect over Wi-Fi to the cloud, so a head office can update a poster in another city in minutes, without anyone on site touching it.
No network at the venue? Load your content on a USB drive, plug it in and it plays.
Content that works on a poster
- Design in portrait, at the native resolution. Build to the exact pixel size of your unit; a landscape TV advert squeezed onto a tall poster wastes most of the screen.
- Few words, large type. A poster around 340 pixels wide fits a short headline, not a paragraph. Three to six words and one offer read best.
- Motion catches the eye; keep it calm. Slow movement and loops of 10 to 20 seconds pull people in. Flashing cuts tire them out.
- Plan by the hour. Breakfast menu in the morning, new arrivals at noon, the weekend sale on Friday. PxlOS scheduling does this for you.
Where LED posters work.
At the end of an aisle or inside the window, a moving poster changes with every offer. A window in direct sun needs an outdoor Titan poster. See LED for retail stores and screens for shops.
Store entrances, atrium promotions and corridor wayfinding. Our Amukti store entrance display is one mall project.
Fine-pitch posters beside the product, where buyers stand close. See LED for showrooms and jewellery stores.
Treatments and today's offers at reception, where customers wait.
A menu board at the door, changed by mealtime from your phone. See LED for restaurants.
Welcome boards for weddings and conferences, schedules and promotions. See LED for hotels.
Event companies, wedding planners and exhibition stand builders buy posters to use show after show. We do not rent them out. More on LED walls for events and venues.

Placement and viewing-distance tips.
- Match the pitch to where people stand. If most people pass within about 1.5 m, choose P1.5 or P1.8. If they see it from 3 m or more, P2.5 is enough and the saving can go into a second poster.
- Face the flow of people. Angle it towards where people walk in from, not flat against a corridor wall.
- Keep sun off an indoor screen. Indoor posters give up to 600 nits, plenty for a lit store. A spot in strong direct sunlight, or behind glass facing a bright street, needs an outdoor-grade poster.
- Plan the power point. Place it within reach of a socket and route the cable so nobody trips over it. Leave a little space behind for airflow.
- Put the message at eye level. On a tall poster, keep the headline and the offer in the upper half, where a standing adult looks.

LED poster display questions.
What is an LED poster display?
It is a slim, portrait-format LED screen in its own frame that stands on the floor, like a printed poster stand. It plays videos, images and playlists, and you change the content from your phone. PixelSpot builds them in 2×4, 2×5 and 3×5 ft at indoor pitches of P1.5, P1.8 and P2.5.
Should I buy an LED poster or an LCD standee?
Choose an LED poster when you want a bright, bezel-free picture that looks premium from a step or two away, and a module that can be swapped on site if it fails. Choose an LCD standee when you need touch or very small text read at arm's length. We sell both, so we can advise either way.
Which pixel pitch should I choose: P1.5, P1.8 or P2.5?
Use the rule of about 1 metre of comfortable viewing for every 1 mm of pitch. If people stand within about 1.5 m, choose P1.5 or P1.8. If they see it from 3 m or more, as in a mall atrium, P2.5 is enough. P1.8 is the all-rounder for showrooms and lobbies.
Can I put an indoor LED poster in a shop window?
Only if the window does not get strong direct sun. Indoor posters give up to 600 nits, which suits a lit store. A window facing a bright street needs an outdoor-grade poster such as the Titan series, rated IP65 at the front and IP54 at the rear, with up to 4,500 nits and auto-dimming after dark.
How do I change what plays on the poster?
Through PxlOS, PixelSpot's own content software, from your phone or browser over Wi-Fi. You upload videos and images, build playlists and schedule them by the hour. Where there is no network, you can also play content from a USB drive.
Can several LED posters be joined into one bigger screen?
Several posters can run together: the 3×5 Studio is listed with multi-screen cascading, and PxlOS can schedule a whole set from one account. Each poster keeps its own frame, though. For one seamless image across a wall, a fixed LED video wall is the right product.
Do you deliver and install LED posters outside Bengaluru?
Yes. Our own crew installs across Bengaluru and Karnataka, and we deliver and install posters across India by road freight from our Bengaluru factory. A poster stands on its own base and plugs in, so installation is mostly content setup and training.
What warranty do LED posters carry?
A 2-year pixel-to-pixel onsite warranty: a single dead pixel counts as a fault. The order includes 5% spare modules free, and optional AMC is available after the warranty.
Can I rent an LED poster for an event?
No. We do not rent LED screens. For a one-off event, an event-AV company that rents screens is the right call. If you will use posters at several events a month, owning them costs less over time, and that is what we build.
How much does an LED poster display cost?
It depends on the size, the pixel pitch, how many posters you order, the content setup and delivery to your city. Use the configurator to get your estimate, or send us the size and the spot on WhatsApp at +91 72048 08334; our team calls back with the best price.
