An LED wall's power draw depends on pitch, brightness and the content on screen. A full white frame at maximum brightness is the peak; normal video averages 25 to 35 per cent of that. The figures below are what we measure on PixelSpot installations in Bengaluru.

Circuit and wiring you need
- Size the supply for the peak, not the average. A 10×6 ft indoor wall peaks at about 3.9 kW, so a dedicated 20 A single-phase line.
- Walls above about 150 sq ft indoor or 100 sq ft outdoor should be on three-phase with the cabinets spread across phases.
- Use a stabiliser or online UPS where the site has voltage swings; power supplies are the most common failure after a sag.
- Outdoor walls need an earthed, IP65 distribution box within 3 m of the wall.
Ways to cut the bill
- Auto brightness: PixelOS dims the wall by ambient light, which alone saves 20 to 40 per cent on outdoor walls at night.
- Dark backgrounds: a black background with bright text uses a fraction of the power of a white one.
- Schedules: switch off or go to a low-power still after closing time.
- Common-cathode panels use 20 to 30 per cent less than common-anode at the same brightness; ask for them on large walls.
