LED Wall in Hosur: Built in Bengaluru, Installed 40 km Down NH-44

Hosur is a Tamil Nadu town, but for an LED video wall it behaves like a Bengaluru suburb. Our factory is in Bengaluru; Hosur is about 40 km down NH-44, past Electronic City, Bommasandra and the Attibele border, an hour to ninety minutes with the van loaded. That is closer than some corners of Bengaluru itself, which is why Hosur and Krishnagiri district are the only places outside Karnataka where PixelSpot installs and services walls with its own crew. We do not run crews to Salem, Vellore or Chennai, and we will say so on WhatsApp rather than promise a service ring we cannot keep.

Where LED walls go in Hosur

The SIPCOT belt: reception, townhall, shop floor

Hosur's industrial spine runs through SIPCOT Phase I and Phase II, the SIDCO estate, Bagalur Road, Thally Road, Mathigiri and Zuzuvadi, with Shoolagiri's park further down the highway towards Krishnagiri. TVS Motor, Ashok Leyland and Titan set the tone for what a factory front-of-house looks like here (we name them as the town's landmarks, not as customers), and the tier-two and tier-three suppliers around them are the plants that call us. Their briefs repeat:

• Visitor reception and customer-audit lobby. An 8×4 or 10×6 ft indoor wall behind the reception desk carrying the safety record, the certifications, a plant walkthrough video and a welcome slide for the auditor arriving from the OEM. It replaces a framed policy board and a 55-inch TV nobody switched on.
• Townhall and canteen wall. Shift briefings, monthly awards, the MD's address, cricket on match days. A projector dies under canteen lighting; a 12×8 ft P2.5 wall does not.
• Shop-floor andon and production dashboard. Hourly output against target, downtime and rejection counts from the MES PC, read at 10 to 15 m across the bay. This is a brighter, tougher wall than a lobby wall; see the specification table below.
• Training hall and NPD review room. A fine-pitch wall where engineers stand 2 m from a drawing.

The showroom strip on the Bengaluru road

The service road along NH-44 through Hosur, and the stretch out towards Rayakottai Road, is lined with two-wheeler and car dealerships, mobile and electronics stores, textile and jewellery showrooms. A wall here does one of two jobs: a facade screen facing the highway that reads at 8 to 15 m in afternoon sun, or an indoor wall behind the delivery bay or the counter that runs the offer of the week. Printed flex on these frontages fades in a season and needs a new print for every festival; the LED wall changes from the owner's phone.

Halls, hospitals, colleges and the hill temple

Kalyana mandapams around the bus stand and out along Denkanikottai Road, the engineering colleges on the Bagalur and Thally roads, the multi-speciality hospitals in town, schools and the festival grounds below the Chandra Choodeswarar hill temple all take the same P2.5 or P3 indoor wall that Bengaluru wedding halls and temples use. For outdoor advertising, a highway-facing LED hoarding on the Hosur bypass needs Hosur City Municipal Corporation permission and, on NH frontage, NHAI clearance; budget for both before the screen.

Specification decisions for Hosur sites

Every wall we sell in Hosur is specified by the nearest viewer, the ambient light and the air the wall breathes. Hosur's "Little England" climate is kinder to electronics than the Chennai coast, but SIPCOT air carries foundry dust, paint-shop overspray and machining mist that a lobby in Indiranagar never sees, and a factory power bus carries compressor and welding loads that a mall never sees.

Three Hosur-specific notes. First, put every wall on a stabilised line or an online UPS: the voltage sag when a compressor bank starts is the most common killer of LED power supplies, and a factory bus sags more than an office feed. Second, size the supply for the peak, not the average: a 10×6 ft indoor wall peaks near 3.9 kW and wants its own 20 A single-phase line; anything above about 150 sq ft indoor goes across three phases, which every SIPCOT unit has and most showrooms do not. Third, on shop floors specify the sealed front and filtered rear even though the wall is indoors; the module that lives happily in a Whitefield lobby clogs in a year next to a shot-blasting line. A 3,840 Hz refresh rate matters wherever the wall will be on camera, typically the MD's townhall and the showroom, and 14 to 16 bit greyscale keeps dark video from banding. What an LED wall costs in Hosur

Hosur is priced on the same published per-square-foot bands as Bengaluru; the 40 km run down NH-44 is treated like a job in Whitefield, not as an outstation trip. Krishnagiri, Shoolagiri and the Denkanikottai side add a travel day to the installation schedule, not a surcharge to the panel price. The only line on the invoice that changes is the tax line, covered below.

Bands are indoor P2.5 at ₹5,500 to ₹8,000 per sq ft, P1.8 at ₹7,000 to ₹12,000, outdoor P4 at ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 and P6 at ₹3,500 to ₹6,000, all from the LED wall price guide. IGST, GSTIN and the e-way bill: buying from Karnataka into Tamil Nadu

Our GSTIN is a Karnataka registration (state code 29). A wall delivered and installed in Hosur is supplied to a Tamil Nadu GSTIN (state code 33), so it is an inter-state supply and the invoice carries a single IGST line at 18% instead of CGST 9% plus SGST 9%. The full IGST is available as input credit in the Hosur registration's return, exactly as CGST and SGST would be in Karnataka. Because a video wall is installed at site, the place of supply is the installation address in Hosur, not our factory, which is what puts the supply under IGST in the first place.

• Give us the GSTIN of the registration that will use the wall. For a plant in SIPCOT that is normally the company's Tamil Nadu registration, even when the purchase order is raised from a Bengaluru head office; the credit then lands where the asset sits. Confirm the bill-to arrangement with your CA before the PO.
• E-way bill. Any consignment above ₹50,000 crosses the Attibele border with an e-way bill generated against your GSTIN and the vehicle number before the van leaves Bengaluru. We raise it; the driver carries it on his phone for the check post.
• HSN and SAC. Panels and cabinets go under HSN 8528, the controller under 8543, installation and AMC under SAC 9987, all at 18%. Our quotes show the pre-GST price and the tax line separately. The HSN and GST guide has the full table and a worked example.
• Vendor onboarding. Plants usually need our GST certificate, PAN and a bank letter before the PO can be raised; ask on WhatsApp and they come the same day.

Installation and service on the NH-44 ring

1. Survey. Free in Hosur as it is in Bengaluru. We measure the recess, check whether the wall is RCC, ACP cladding, glass partition or gypsum (factory receptions are very often ACP over a steel frame, which needs a floor-standing structure rather than wall anchors), confirm the power point and the LAN drop to the processor, and send a 3D mockup of the wall in your actual lobby.
2. Build. Cabinets are assembled and burn-in tested at our Bengaluru factory, so what reaches your gate is a tested wall, not a kit.
3. Gate pass and permits. Send us the visitor-pass list, the safety induction slot and your work-permit format a week ahead. Our crew arrives with its own tools, ladders and PPE; ceiling-hung and truss-mounted walls need your height-work permit. Many plants prefer a Sunday or a maintenance shutdown; we schedule to it.
4. Install and commission. A 10×6 ft indoor wall goes up, is calibrated and is handed over in one working day; a 12×8 ft townhall wall or a facade with structure takes two to three. Content is loaded in PixelOS before we leave, and the reception or HR team gets a handover session on changing it from a phone.
5. Service. Hosur is inside our same-day ring: a fault reported on WhatsApp before noon is usually seen the same day, otherwise the next working day.
